New fields in chemical oceanography

Abstract

In this article some of the recent works of Health Physics Division of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in new areas of chemical oceanography are highlighted, with respect to: (1) Problems of estimation of organic constituents in the dissolved state in sea water. (2) Interaction of trace metallic elements with organic constituents in the marine environment. (3) Interaction between chemical species in the sediment surfaces and in the ambient sea water medium
