Updating of Decca Chains in India to multipulse transmissions

Abstract

The paper gives a brief history of the establishment of Decca Navigator Chains in India, the need for updating the Chains from Mk-5 operation to Mk-10 Multipulse transmissions, consideration of re-siting of one of the Slave Stations and predicted coverage and accuracies to be achieved with updating of the Chains. The paper also describes the various salient features of the updating equipment including indigenous no-break power supply equipment
