First record of Macrobrachium canarae (Tiwari, 1955) and M. sankollii Jalihal and Shenoy, 1988 outside the type locality

Abstract

Macrobrachium canarae (Tiwari, 1955) and M. sankollii Jalihal and Shenoy, 1988 are now recorded from Kerala (India) waters. It is the first record of the same out of the type locality. Since detailed descriptions of these species are available, only the variations noticed in them are reported. A table showing the comparison of most important characters is also given
