V. Santhakumari, M. Saraswathy

Two species, namely Ellobiopsis chattoni and Amallocystis fagei of the family Ellobiopsidae, parasitic Protozoa, are described and figured. E. chattoni was observed from the appendages of both females and males of the copepod Undinula vulgaris, from the females of Cosmocalanus darwinii and Euchaeta marina and also from the post larvae of the shrimp Penaeopsis rectacuta. Amallocystis fagei was found on the mid dorsal region of the carapace of the euphausiid Pseudeuphausia latifrons which is a new record of its occurrence from the Bay of Bengal
