Abstract

Uranium concentration in the mangrove leaves ranged from 0.36 to 2.27 ppm (average 1.12); boron from 57.5 to 135 ppm (average 97.5); potassium from 0.62 x 104 to 2.63 x 104 ppm (average 1.49 x 104); phosphorus from 1.02 x 102 to 10.25 x 102 ppm (average 7.11 x 102); and nitrogen from 0.36 x 104 to 2.52 x 104 ppm (average 1.41 x 104). In mangroves uranium, boron and potassium concentrations were found to be higher than in land plants
