Intertidal sediment characteristics of Vellar Estuary
Abstract
The seasonal changes of the intertidal sediments were studied for one year, at pairs of stations situated at either banks of the Vellar Estuary, Tamil Nadu, India. The difference in the nature of the slope and direction of flow of water in the estuary affects the deposition of silt and clay particles and therefore the median particle size.
